Services

Stride is a web design and digital media company specialising in location-based projects that offer content via the web and mobile devices.

We put a great emphasis on the design of our projects, both visual and operational, and work closely with you to create resources that are innovative and engaging for the end-user.

We believe that websites and other digital media should be easy for the visitor to use and simple for you to manage through a content management system. We understand database technologies and know how to interface with your existing database to present complex information in a visual way. We offer interactive mapping and multimedia content, such as our innovative DIY trail builder, audio guides, pod casts and apps.

We believe that the web and mobile devices are a cost effective way to deliver exciting interpretive and community experiences. Our do-it-yourself trail builder allows you to design your own trails around your visitor attraction, uploading your own content and pinpointing the stops on an interactive map. This allows you to add new trails and change old ones without having to come back to us.

Stride will put together a friendly team for your project that may include oral historians, writers, researchers, photographers, illustrators and other experts. We tackle each project from a fresh perspective, drawing on our extensive experience and contact base.

Stride’s directors, Victoria Smith and Simon Ruffle, have a multi-disciplinary background in architecture, design and software development. Both are graduates from the Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge, and are well placed to undertake projects interpreting our natural and built heritage, architecture and local history.
